Spring is a fickle mistress here in Maine, and this sort of thing happens more often than we like to think. As anxious as I am to gaze out the window at my wife mowing the lawn, these little exclamation points of winter weather are still charming, somehow (and, thanfully, short lived). The funny part is that the day before this, I was thinking of putting in my peas…
I shot this only because my wife came into the studio while I was shooting a teacup or pair of pliers or some such product-oriented esoterica, and said something along the lines of, “Look out the window. You might want to get a shot of snow on that shrub out back.” What would I do without her!
I love the way the streaking snow softens the background. I also love the fact that three days later this was all gone.
Here’s the big Flickr version.
