Many years ago I did a simple charcoal and graphite drawing of some of the boards on my ancient barn. It was just an exercise, and not meant to be “art.” Much later I found the drawing kicking around in a folder and decided to make a simple little frame for it from some old boards (also found in my barn). So I took three pieces of board and simply tacked the paper drawing over them. The grain doesn’t line up perfectly, but I still find it pleasing somehow. It hangs in my design studio, behind the door, and most people don’t ever see it. That’s fine with me. I just like it.
