It’s time to turn studio photography on its head. And with that, I’m announcing the creation of my new workspace…

For the last several years, my photography has been edging away from the outdoor and adventure stuff to lifestyle and product photography. Over the last several months, Karen and I have transformed the back room of our house from a place to store piles of junk, into a place to generate income. It’s 375 square feet of duel-purpose, business-generating wonderfulness (plus a place to do laundry). One one day it can be a lovely Airbnb suite, while on another it’s a fully-outfitted photo studio where anything is possible.

When they turn the world back on, I will be totally open for business, shooting jaw-dropping marketing images for product catalogs and advertising, plus, well, you know…weird stuff. All of the studio photos for the last 44 days have been shot at QuirkWorks, and this is just the beginning.

Along with the physical space, I will also be launching a dedictated website: QuirkWorksStudio.com. I’ll let you know when we go live.

Special thanks to my dear friends, Doug and Heidi Skiba, for helping me refine my branding designs, and for Karen, for helping me take the strange photo at the top of the post (hard to believe, but I couldn’t do that one myself)! Here’s looking forward to a bright (and occasionally odd) future!

Here’s the big Flickr version.
