All I wanted to do with this photo is express that so many of us feel trapped and scared by the virus—but are still prepared. It was a very simple shot to take: one shot for the gloves and my nearly-bald head, and another for my eye. Then it was just a matter of compositing them together. And I intentionally focused on that one frightened eye.
I’ve really enjoyed making this daily photo blog for almost three weeks now, but am a bit disturbed by how many image ideas have been stimulated by Covid 19. Someday I just want to shoot landscapes again…
