The weirdest thing about this photo is not the rodent tail hanging out of the teacup, but rather something more basic. I’ll give you a hint; when my daughter saw this, she said, “That was obviously shot aboard a ship.” Clever girl.
Okay, so what’s up with this. Nothing. It’s just a teacup with a tail hanging out of it. Around this studio, this falls under the category of “not weird at all.” The hardest thing technically was controlling the reflections on the cup. I left just enough reflective highlights to keep the cup looking three dimensional, without it being distracting.
And, as my dad used to say, quoting the Bard himself, “Thereby hangs a tale.”
