According to a rough estimate of the ratio between the two square inches of this fallen log covered with tiny ferns, and the area of my vast estate, this represents 1/11,762,150th of all that I own. And if I dismiss the parts of my property covered by house, barn, shed, driveway, and other and sundry boring bits, I find that I am still left with something like 9,325,693 tiny places like this that I would find photographically fascinating. I suppose I will never be bored.
