Karen and I took a vacation to the Canadian Maritime Provinces last summer, and on our last night we stayed at a wonderful old Victorian home in St. John, New Brunswick. This is our bedroom, which overlooked the sea. The combination of the old woodwork, pastel colors, the white bedding and curtains, and the rippled sea seen through the old glass made us feel as if were were sleeping inside a watercolor. It was magical. This image reminds me of a Wyeth Painting (either Andrew or Jamie, take your pick).
