I have a thing for falling water. And the combination of water and flowers just seems so natural. This shot was very easy to make: find a cooperative blossom, pour water through it, and capture droplets with speedlights using very low power (hence, very short flash duration). For this image, I synchronized two speedlights set at 1/64th power, which gave me an effective shutter speed of around 1/10,000th of a second, which froze the droplets nicely.

Here’t the big Flickr version.
